Feel Goods

Sometimes it seems things go by too quickly. We are so busy watching out for what's just ahead of us that we don't take the time to enjoy where we are.

Today I've decided to send some feel good vibes your way. Since I can't think of anything super relevant to blog about today I've decided to share with you somethings that make me happy. Ever since I've started with summer school I've been struggling with feeling a little lonely. Some people could call me needy, well that's an understatement but being in a long distance relationship is hard. And sometimes it sucks. So for all you people feeling a little down today I hope your day gets better. And remember that tomorrows a new day. I've decided to switch up my blog format just because I feel like it is more fitting for this post. Everyone deserves a little sunshine.

I love this picture. Even though I can't have a puppy right now, due to my living situation I hope to have a dog this cute one day. I'm thinking a golden retriever. What do you think? Considering that I am a massive five feet tall I'm not sure if getting a big dog is such a great idea. Maybe a french bull dog :). Now and days I just tell people that my boyfriend's puppy is my own. Her name is Kira, she's a four month old husky... actually here's a picture.

Cute eh? And yep, that's right you guessed it that's my boyfriend. Awkward. Well now that you know all about my personal life lets move on to something a little less weird. Yesterday I went to target to buy her a bone about the size of her head and a box of treats. While I was there I picked up an obnoxious orange raft to drag to the pool everyday. It never crossed my mind how awkward it would be to drag this thing from the crossing to the landing pool everyday.

I've come to learn to not care what people think. They're probably all just really jealous of my sweet raft. So I recommend if you don't have one of these yet, make your way down to target and pick up a five dollar float. It'll brighten up your day for sure. But warning not recommended for users over the height of five feet it's not very long. Alright well I hope everyone has a good day, get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we are blessed with in the beautiful Wilmington!

  1. Great pictures! You're right, I'm super jealous of your pool raft. I think the puppy in the second picture is absolutely adorable! Huskie right? You should post more pictures!

  2. The first picture is soooo cute! But when you do consider getting a dog, don't forget that all puppies are adorable when they're little. I would get a golden retriever in a heartbeat, but i know that big dogs are way harder to take care of than little dogs (i have a chihuahua).
I found your last picture really funny too, i actually live in the landing so i think it's hilarious that you're actually going to bring that float to the people haha it's definitely looks comfy though!

  3. Kelly,
I love your blog! I have a husky as well! His name is Jackson. Little dogs are so cut though. I was thinking about getting a porkie. It's a pomeranian/yorkie mix-super cute! It kinda looks like a fluffy fox. I also just got a pool float from Target. I absolutely love Target. It looks like you played some beer pong at the pool?! Haha.

  4. This post was too cute for words :) I really want a puppy bad! I can't really have one right now either because of my living situation, but I'm hoping I can have one within the next year. I love your boyfriends adorable husky! Husky's are so pretty! Your float on that pool water looks so refreshing. I guess that float wouldn't work to well for me because I'm 5'10! haha I would need one that's a bit longer...just a tad haha

  5. I love that you included pictures in your post :) Your boyfriend's Husky is so adorable! I have a Pomeranian myself and he truly makes my day every single day. I can be having a horrible day and he always manages to make me smile or laugh. He has lots of personality! Your raft is so cute and I literally 'laughed out loud' when you said people were just jealous of your raft! It is tough when no one is around and it does get a bit lonely. Hopefully when the first summr session is over you can take a trip! I know I am! I loved this post and am so glad you can appreciate the little things in life like a $5 raft!

  6. I’m not really a dog person ( I prefer cats—they are so sassy!) but those are some pretty cute pups in the pictures. The husky dog is gorgeous. It’s good to see you are trying not to let the distance between you and your boyfriend get you down. Life is too short, its summer time, and I’m sure he’s thinking of you as much as you are of him. Oh yes, love the raft and what you said about having to carry out to the landing pool. I live at the landing and I know where the Crossing is, that’s a pretty far walk with a raft under one arm..haha. Thank you for the feel goods, they definitely put a smile on my face 

  7. Aw your post is sweet. I miss my dog from back home. I got her when I was in 2nd grade. She was going to be put down the day we picked her up from the pound. She's the sweetest dog ever, and as cute as can be. No other dog looks like her because she's a mut. I miss her because she is getting old, turning around 13 a few months ago and I don't get to see her much since I'm at college. She'll die soon and I've accepted the obvious fate. She has had a great life and couldn't have received more love, so I know that she will die happy. Sorry if I darkened your bright post, but it was relevant haha. I'll make my next post about her so you can check her out.
